AND TAXATION
Zero-One-X computers fulfils orders within South Africa and the rest of
the World. Zero-One-X computers is the Trading Name for Zero-One-X
computers services and design, CK91/17337/23. Zero-One-X computers cc is
registered for VAT. Our VAT Registration number is 4150116756. All prices
displayed are shown inclusive of VAT. You will receive an invoice from us via
email containing our VAT number, as well as your VAT number if you have
specified one in your account details after your order is complete.
Prices are subject to change without prior notice as and when required, and are
usually linked to changes in the Rand Dollar or Rand Euro exchange rate, or
stock levels. If there are any price decreases, you will be notified via email
of those decreases for any items you have in your shopping cart.
At Zero-One-X computers, our primary focus is service and as such, we
will offer you the best service around. This means that also our prices are
always kept as low as possible, giving you an added benefit of shopping online
with Zero-One-X computers.
To further keep our costs down and to provide you with better value, we don't
keep products in stock at our place of business. When you place an order, we
place an order with our suppliers for those products. Occasionally it will
happen that our supplier is out of stock of a particular item - in this case, we
will do our best to locate the item from alternate suppliers, or inform you of
the expected delivery time if this information is available to us. You can make
the decision based on that information to either cancel your order, wait for the
stock to arrive, or replace with an alternative item. In extreme cases, the
pricing could be different to those displayed on the site. When we place your
order and notice that the price has changed, we will let you know what the new
price is. While this does not always happen, please be aware that the
possibility does exist due to the volatile nature of component prices and due to
the extensive range of products we offer.
WEBSITE INFORMATION
All product information provided on this website is done so in good faith using
information obtained from suppliers and manufacturers. We do our best to ensure
that this information is as accurate as possible, but cannot be held responsible
for any errors or omissions. If you need specific information or a specific
model of a product, please bring this to our attention so that we can attempt to
assist your expectations.
PAYMENT
We are able to accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard) or any other payment
method that
our secured PayPal solution might offer. PayPal also guarantee your online shopping
experience by providing a risk-free service. We also accept EFT or direct
deposits into our account in the event your order is made by e-mail. Cash payments are also accepted. Cheques are accepted
but we can only dispatch your order once clearance is effected - this may take
up to two weeks.
How do credit card payments work? When you are about to complete your order, you
have the option of selecting PayPal as your method of payment. This requires you
to register with PayPal, and effect your payment. PayPal will perform the
security checks on your details, and confirm the transaction with you. On
notification of your payment, your order will be secured - a further 24 hours or
more may be required to receive a positive acknowledgement of payment from
PayPal for security purposes to proceed with your order. Once we receive this
confirmation, we will dispatch your order in line with our dispatch schedule
(see below). PayPal holds money from you in trust until the purchased item has
been received and verified. Once verified and the escrow period is at an end
(usually 7 days), we receive payment. This means that if for any reason we
neglect to send you the right items (or anything), you can prevent us from
receiving payment by lodging a dispute with PayPal who will resolve any issues
in both of our interests. This is the perfect option for those who are wary of
online shopping.
These steps are all in place to protect you. Zero-One-X computers will
never see your credit card details, or ever store them on our system's database.
Your details are securely transacted by PayPal, a trusted merchant for Worldwide
online e-commerce. This keeps your shopping experience with Zero-One-X
computers safe and secure, giving you added peace of mind. Additional proof
of our commitment to you, and your security.
If you have selected to pay via EFT/Bank Transfer to our bank account, you
will be given the details of our account information when your order has been
confirmed to ensure stock is available before you pay.
Payment for any order must be made upfront.
We keep our pricing as low as possible, and tend to stay away from everything
that causes us to increase prices. We are confident that you will agree that our
prices are highly competitive while still giving you the security of a credit
card transaction that is guaranteed. These options are continually researched,
and should we find a cheaper alternative while still offering the best security,
we will implement it for you.
DELIVERY
We make use of two industry leading courier companies as our courier partners;
both offer good value to you and excellent tracking facilities to us.
Additionally, you may collect your order from our offices in Allen Grove x2,
Kempton Park, Johannesburg.
All items passed on for delivery should be insured to protect both you and
Zero-One-X computers from any loss. While this does slightly increase the
cost of delivery; because we cannot be held responsible for the condition of
your goods once passed on for delivery, we feel this is necessary to protect
your purchase. If you don't want your package to be insured, you do have those
options available, but we don't recommend it.
The cost of all types of delivery is calculated based on weight, or a volumetric
weight equivalent. All deliveries are to a door, so please ensure someone will
be available to accept your order. The costs of each service will be presented
to you on delivery and the cheapest option will be used.
Insurance on your delivery is optional. We highly recommend that you insure your
order for your protection, but in some cases you may not want to - we leave the
choice up to you. If you chose not to insure a delivery and if anything happened
to your goods while in transit, there is NO recourse from Zero-One-X
computers! We STRONGLY recommend that in all cases you should choose an
insured door delivery option!
Delivery is only calculated to a maximum weight of 100kg. Should your order
exceed this weight, the delivery weight will be deemed as 100kg. Deliveries do
not include weekends, or after-hours options. These are available on request
only.
We do our best to ensure that the calculation of delivery is as accurate as
possible. Please also note that Door delivery costs only apply if you live 50km
within a major centre (Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Durban, East London, George,
Johannesburg, Kimberley, Pietermaritzburg, Port Elizabeth and Pretoria). If you
are in a regional or outlying area or outside South Africa, an additional cost
applies. Please be aware that delivery times to outlying areas may be affected.
If you have any questions about the delivery options, just let us know.
The delivery times given are estimated, and take effect from the time of
dispatch of your parcel, and not when you place an order. For example, if you
place an order on Tuesday and we dispatch your order on Thursday, and you have
selected overnight delivery by 10h30, you should receive your package on Friday
morning. Please note though, that processing your order is dependant on your
payment confirmation, clearance, and availability as well as delivery from our
suppliers.
How long will it take to receive your order? All orders with confirmed payment
by 14h30 on weekdays should be dispatched the following business day (sometimes
deliveries to us only come in late, and may only be processed the following
day).
For example, if you place an order on Monday at 1pm and your order is confirmed
and payment is received on Tuesday before 2:30pm, your order will be dispatched
on Wednesday. If your order is only confirmed or paid for on Wednesday after
3pm, your order will only be dispatched on Friday.
We can arrange for delivery on Public Holidays or Saturdays; these services
become expensive though, and are only available if requested.
WARRANTY AND RETURNS
All of the product's supplied through Zero-One-X computers use
well-established supplier chains in South Africa. All warranties are supplied by
the manufacturer of the product through the supplier, and not by Zero-One-X
computers. Please check your warranty information from the relevant
manufacturer, but the supplier has the ultimate decision on any warranties and
we uphold those decisions. Please note that all media and consumables do not
carry warranties and cannot be returned unless a known problem has been reported
to our supplier with similar items in their batches and they are prepared to
replace them.
If you need to cancel an order that you have already paid for, we will charge
you a 10% fee to credit the outstanding amount to you.
We understand that purchasing online can be risky if anything goes wrong. If
your product is defective at all, and the defect is within the specifications of
the manufacturer's and suppliers warranty, please inform us about it. We can
organize to collect the defective item from you; either by your arrangements or
arrangements with our courier. We will then consult with the supplier on your
behalf with respect to the fault, and deliver what the supplier provides us with
back to you. In most cases, suppliers replace defective items immediately - if
no stocks are available, we may credit you, depending on what the supplier is
able to do or provide. Should the supplier detect no fault (particularly in the
cases of intermittent or problems that can't be reproduced on testing), no
replacements can be made.
We do not build this service into our pricing structure, so you are liable for
any additional costs associated for these deliveries to and from us. At our
discretion, particularly for products that arrive and don't work, or become
faulty within one month, we will cover the costs. The inherent nature of
components means that we understand that faults do occur that remain undetected
until first used. We want your experience with us to be as positive as possible,
and will strive to do what we can in these circumstances.
If you have purchased a product that is incompatible with your existing system
or is functional, but does not meet your requirements, then we will only accept
the product back for a credit (refunds are not given) if it is returned in
re-saleable condition in the original packaging within 14 days of the purchase
date. You will be liable for the delivery costs to return the item to us, and a
handling fee which will be deducted from your credit. This is a 15% charge on
the value of the item; on the lesser of the price that you paid or the current
sale price. An additional 15% charge will apply on goods returned without
original or damaged packaging. We cannot accept returns after 14 days from the
date of purchase.
To summaries, if the product is faulty, we will do everything that we can to fix
the problem on your behalf. If you made a mistake, we'll still do our best to
make you happy, although we will understandably penalize you. We do everything
that we can to make sure you have all the information you need when purchasing a
product from us. If you are unsure about compatibility, PLEASE ASK! If we notice
a discrepancy in your order, we will check with you before processing the order
- but obviously cannot guarantee any compatibility if we are not building the
system for you.
If you would like us to assemble any of the components you purchase, we can do
so for a low nominal fee. This gives you the added benefit of knowing that all components
will be tested before being dispatched. Simply add the Machine Building Service
